  5. The NetExpress CI-230 board integrates the function of an IBM AT or 286/386
  6. compatible with the Canon NP-9030 intelligent scanner/printer/copier. The
  7. CI-230 board combines digital scanning, high-speed laser printing, and data
  8. compression/expansion into a single computer subsystem
  9.  
  10. The NetExpress CI-230 board allows text, graphics, and photographs to be
  11. scanned at six pages per minute with 400 dpi resolution. In conjunction with
  12. the Canon NP-9030, the CI-230 board produces the same high-quality resolution
  13. printed at a rate of 13 pages per minute. A dedicated microcontroller on the
  14. CT-230 board enables the scanning and printing functions of the Canon NP-9030
  15. to also be used offline as a high-quality, high-speed copier
  16.  
  17. A dedicated VLSI processor on the CI-230 compresses or expands a document in as
  18. little as five seconds. An advanced compression/expansion algorithm is used to
  19. compress documents to CCITT Group III and Group IV standards.
